I don’t know if this violates any city sign ordinances, I just know it looks like trash. At a major entrance to our beautiful city this isn’t what we should have to see.
This sign recently went up in the space formerly occupied by Venezuelan restaurant El Arepazo The awnings have come down, the building looks like it’s being readied for renovation or demolition. Personally I’d like to see it come down and create a grand lawn or terraced plaza entry for the Chase building from 8th Street.
This notice was seen posted in the window at 101 SE 1st St., the quaint little 3-storey building at the corner of SE 1st Ave. and home to Trial Copy.
Now that the Langford is almost ready to open its trendy new boutique hotel, and the Cento Lofts is also nearly complete anchoring the other end of this block, what’s next? Almost a year ago MiamiToday reported that a mid-rise condo developer was targeting this block, specifically the Video & Camera Center at 113 SE 1st St. I don’t know what’s going on inside TrialCopy, but if this building does not have historic designation I have to wonder if this is an attempt at a land grab to gain control of the entire corner of that block.
Anyone use Uber know what this is about?
Thursday October 22, 2PM, City Hall
Signs posted along the recently cleared blocks south of the Miami River between SW 2nd Ave Bridge and SW 3rd Ave to SW 7th St.
More Towers to come, hope to see improvements along the riverfront.
